Despite this tradition, the New Jedi Order is vastly more liberal in teachings and beliefs than previous orders, allowing its members to take part in relationships and allowing them to have their own thoughts and feelings. Those who are Master-rank Jedi often take on an apprentice, a Padawan, with intents of teaching them to Knightdom, working together as teacher and student to do things for the Order.ĭespite its intents on teaching the Force, the Order also has fallen into a more traditional role of Jedi organization, and actively try to fight back against the Sith or any other Force users in the universe who use it in negative, destructive ways. The New Jedi Order's main goal is that of teaching those who are Force sensitive how to properly use the Force, for combative or peaceful purposes. Its main base of operations is located on Namek, in the Grand Elder's old palace.
